The community-driven Best Bets have some important things in common.
They include actions for prevention, preparedness and mitigation. They also span different timescales, suggesting that some actions need to begin soon, while others may take longer to build towards. They also make it clear just how important partnership work is, both within communities affected by these hazards and between communities, authorities and NPO/NGOs.
